polymer clay fairie

These photos are of various crafts I enjoy.

Here is one of my polymer clay fairies.

Photo manipulation can be a lot of fun. This one I created after a

fellow alpaca farmer said that his office was now a barn. It brought

to mind employees wasting time over the water cooler while the boss

is distracted. This one was published in Alpaca magazine a few

years ago.

basket8.jpg

This is a combination of painting, gourd art and pine needle basketry.

The bowl is a gourd, the neck is woven pine needles and this was my

first try at hand painting a beach scene.

I crochet these baby booties and it takes me a couple of days

to make a pair but they sure do turn out adorable.

I needle felted alpca fiber onto a pair of alpaca socks. Feels like

your feet are encased in silk!

Babe spinning wheel

I started spinning a few years ago and really enjoy this nearly lost art. I enjoy making my own yarn from my own animal's fiber, then knitting or crocheting it into wearable garments.
To see how my wheel looks now that I have nearly finished decorating it, go to the spinning wheel page that can be found attached to the home page's fly out menu on the 'Kathryn's art' page.
